Great Dixter is a Historic House and Garden located in Northiam on the border of East Sussex and Kent. Originally the home of Christopher Lloyd, and now managed by the Great Dixter Charitable Trust, the garden and estate provides a haven for wildlife, with flower rich meadows, traditionally managed long-season borders, and semi natural ancient woodland.

The Great Dixter Charitable Trust is keen to promote and support biodiversity in all its forms, and is developing partnerships with scientists and research organisations, setting up recording projects, changing management practices where necessary and carrying out educational activities to achieve this aim.

This blog will record our progress.
